Changes for 2023 POHMS Renewal Dues!!!

The POHMS Board of Directors meets several times each year. This year during Strategic Planning, we dedicated a great bulk of our time on how we can improve POHMS member participation allowing individuals and practices to receive the maximum benefit from our society.  We have decided to restructure our membership system.

Please note the structure of POHMS membership fees are changing effective this year.  Membership fees and dues will now be based on practice size.  Invoices for calendar year 2023 will be sent out within the next few days.  Please watch your email for your renewal invoice.  Please see the changes below.

                Solo rate  (one member in POHMS)                     $150 per year
                Group rate (2 or more from the same practice)  $225 per year

These changes are being made to allow ease of membership.  Each practice, solo and group, need to designate one (1) member as the key contact for your practice.

For practices that have more than one person joining POHMS, you will be able to add additional practice employees under the group practice. (Example:  practice administrator, physicians, nurses,  billing manager, nurse supervisor, lab tech, financial counsellor, patient navigator)

Other changes that are coming your way:
                Conference registration fee: 
                $75 per attendee for both Spring and Fall Conference

Educational grants: 
                  Per practice POHMS will reimburse up to:
                  $750 per practice when attending an Oncology meeting other than POHMS conferences
                  $500 per practice when attending POHMS Annual Spring
                    and/or Fall Conference

These changes are being made to be able to provide greater benefits to our members.  It is our hope that this new tier system will provide additional opportunity for your practice to send more employees to POHMS conferences.  POHMS relies heavily on our corporate sponsors and exhibitors and the POHMS member attendance to our conferences has significantly decreased over the past few years which has not gone unnoticed by our vendors.  

The past two years has been a challenge for everyone, we hope that these changes will allow more flexibility for your practice.  It is our goal to see more members at each conference.  As always, if you have suggestions on ways we can improve or topics you'd like to see covered by speakers, please reach out.
