ASCO Article: CMS response to Change Healthcare Cyber attack
UPDATE: The Association for Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is deeply concerned that the emergency funding sources proposed to date by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in response to the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident are applicable only to Medicare Part A providers, thus omitting physician practices from this critical funding stream. On March 7, 2024, ASCO sent a letter to CMS expressing the Association’s concern and highlighting the unique difficulties facing oncology practices related to significant upfront costs in procuring necessary therapies which are going unreimbursed.
